のどがいたいです

きょう仕事へいきたかったけれどのどがいたくで、疲れていましたから、早くうちにかえりました。びょうきです。

Second try:
今日仕事に行きたかったけれどのどがいたくで、私は疲れていましたから、早く家に帰りました。病気です。

The kanji appear too small for me to decipher most of them. My horrid Japanese needs help from my a priori knowledge of your situation to figure out that your throat hurts and you went home.

Google says:

The present work fence it came, however you applied, because the throat was tired greatly, the collar it increased quickly inside. It is the rivet coming.

Using more kanji makes it easier for Google to translate, but harder for struggling 日本語の学生 to read or write.

Google translation of my second try is:
"However when you wanted to go to present work, because the throat was tired greatly, as for me, it returned to the house quickly. It is the sickness." Which isn't too far off, allowing for the Japanese ambiguity about first/second/third person.

Anyway, I am starting to get the hang of typing in 日本語 and that is cool.
